Singing and praying have been SHEM’s language since early childhood.

​

Born in Munich to Polish immigrants, SHEM began praying the Rosary for others at the age of eight, especially for the sick and those in need. Prayer has remained a quiet and constant presence throughout his life.

​

He went on to become a composer, lyricist and vocalist, drawing today on more than five decades of musical experience — from rock and pop productions to studio recordings and international spiritual music projects.

​

After countless live performances, as well as radio and television productions, he is now devoted to what has become his most meaningful work: bringing the great texts of the Bible and early Christianity to life through modern music.

Together with renowned producers, SHEM creates powerful musical works that unite spirituality, cinematic orchestration and contemporary sound into a unique listening experience.

The Lord’s Prayer in Aramaic carries within it more than sixty years of a life lived in prayer.
